Newest Tourist Attraction in New Orleans
The Hurricane Katrina Tour

The Katrina Destruction will become the newest tourist attraction in New Orleans when Gray Line New Orleans bus company begins "The Hurricane Katrina Tour - America's Worst Catastrophe" beginning on January 4, 2006. Tickets will be $35 per person, $28 for children. The three-hour tour will visit the Superdome, the Convention Center and neighborhoods ravaged by the deadly hurricane.

Gray Line New Orleans normally organizes trips through the city's historic districts and other scenic sights. Business has been way down since the disaster. The idea was born out of frustration of the slow pace of rebuilding in New Orleans. About 10 percent of the $35 ticket price for the three-hour tour will be donated to Katrina relief groups.
